Agnus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Agnus keeps your data on your iPhone. You can create an account so you do not lose your streak when you change phones: in that case only your counters and daily check-ins go to our server. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared for advertising, and there is no advertising tracker — not in the app, not on this site.

What stays on your phone

Your answers to the intake questionnaire and the daily check-in, your intake score, your triggers, the verses you have read, how many times you pressed the emergency button, and your settings (language, theme, reminder time).

This data is written to the app's private storage area on your device. No other app can read it. Deleting Agnus deletes it.

Screen Time: what Apple lets us see (nothing)

When you switch protection on, Agnus uses Screen Time, Apple's own mechanism. The apps and sites you choose are represented by opaque tokens: Apple never gives us their names, and we do not try to resolve them. We only ever display counts (“12 apps paused”).

Those choices, your time window and your domains stay on your iPhone. They go to no server at all, including ours, even if you have an account.

Agnus does not read your browsing history and does not know which apps you open.

What goes to our server, and only if you create an account

Creating an account is optional. We only offer it after the subscription, and “Later” still lets you into the app.

If you create one, we store: the identifier Apple or Google passes to us, your day counter, your urges-beaten counter, your best streak, your daily check-ins and the date of your last sync. We do not receive your name, your photo, or your contacts.

This data serves one purpose: giving your streak back when you reinstall the app or change iPhone.

The third parties we use, by name

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK, no ad network, no data resale. Here is the complete list of companies that see anything at all:

  • Apple

“Sign in with Apple” (we receive an anonymous identifier and, if you share it, a relay address), the App Store, the management of your subscription, and Screen Time for the protection feature. Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

  • Google

“Sign in with Google”, if you pick that door: we receive an identifier and the account's email address. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

  • RevenueCat

Manages subscriptions and tells us whether yours is active. It receives an anonymous purchase identifier, never your name. Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

  • Our own server

The Agnus API and database run on a dedicated server we administer ourselves. No third-party provider has access to it, and the database is only reachable through the API.

  • jsDelivr and getbible.net

When you read a full book of the Bible in the Verses tab, the app downloads the chapter from these two public sources: they therefore see a request coming from your IP address. The daily verse and the emergency-button verse are already inside the app and ask no one for anything.

  • Vercel

Hosts this website. It logs technical requests (IP address, page requested) in order to serve it. Policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

How long we keep it

On your phone: for as long as the app is installed.

On our server: for as long as your account exists. Write to support@minosdevs.app and we delete your account and everything attached to it within thirty days.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion or its export by writing to support@minosdevs.app. We answer within thirty days.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — cnil.fr).

Minors

Agnus is rated 17+ on the App Store and is intended for people aged sixteen and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under thirteen.

Agnus is not medical care

Agnus is not a medical device and replaces neither a doctor, nor a psychologist, nor pastoral support.

If you are in real distress, speak to a professional. In France, 3114 answers free of charge, twenty-four hours a day; elsewhere, look up your local crisis line.

If this policy changes

Any change will be published on this page, with its date. A significant change will also be announced inside the app.
